A Message from Dr. McMillan

Before Covid vaccine mandates arrived, senior officials expressed in an email that they already knew that some people were reporting persistent illness after vaccination that routine testing could not explain.

The email does not prove causation or a cover-up, but it proves that the surveillance gap was recognised at the highest level.

Those patients deserved investigation before millions of others were placed under pressure to comply.

FEATURE ARTICLE

COVID-19

  • Senior regulator Janet Woodcock emailed NIH/NAID leaders Fauci and Collins in May 2021 about patients sickened after COVID vaccination.

  • Reports came from all three US vaccines, and many came from health care professionals.

  • She warned the symptoms formed no distinct syndrome and would evade VAERS and record surveillance.

  • She proposed a direct patient study, then doubted industry would ever fund it.

Why this is important: Five years after a senior regulator flagged a blind spot in vaccine safety monitoring, the illness she described still has no formal name, no diagnostic criteria, and no treatment. Patients pushed into vaccination under mandate are left without answers, and the research needed to settle the question remains unfunded.

HEALTH

Does timing matter when you take supplements? Here’s what the evidence says
Tuck Seng Wong & Kang Kan Tee, University of Sheffield

  • Review of 84 studies found routine vitamins offered healthy adults little protection against cancer or heart disease.

  • Coffee cut iron absorption by 54 percent, and taking iron with breakfast cut it 66 percent.

  • Vitamin D is fat soluble and absorbed better when taken with a meal containing fat.

  • For vitamin B12, the cause of deficiency matters far more than the hour of dosing.

Why this is important: Supplement marketing sells precision, but where a genuine deficiency exists, what surrounds the dose, meals, coffee, calcium, and prescribed medicines, changes absorption more than the clock does. Knowing why you take something beats optimising when you take it.

EDUCATION

This comprehensive data-led course focuses on the intestine as a pandemic amplifier. It is built around a eight-section deep dive through gut immunology, barrier injury, microbiome disruption, and the post-pandemic data dashboard

The Intestine as a Pandemic Amplifier is a comprehensive, data-led course - built around three drivers: repeated spike exposure, barrier injury, and microbiome disruption.

With seven modules, an interactive data dashboard, and Q&A, it takes you section by section through nine years of NHS admission data - so you understand what the numbers show and what they don't.

This is for those who want the evidence tested.

MEDICAL NEWS IN BRIEF

NEWS HIGHLIGHTS

🚥 Older adults who go longest without eating accumulate chronic diseases faster: Intermittent fasting advice is built largely on trials in younger adults, whose bodies absorb nutrients and rebuild muscle differently. In the oldest age groups, long overnight gaps may compress eating into too narrow a window. Age belongs in the conversation before anyone recommends a fasting schedule.

🚥 Care robots can supplement human contact but cannot resolve loneliness on their own: Companion technology is arriving in British care settings faster than the evidence behind it. Presence alone does not fix loneliness, since quality of interaction carries the weight. Deploying robots without asking why some older people lack human contact risks automating the gap instead of closing it.

🚥 A gut compound from pomegranates eased heart stiffness in animal and human tissue models: Heart failure with preserved ejection fraction affects roughly half a million people in the UK and accounts for half of all heart failure cases, yet targeted treatments barely exist. Identifying a druggable protein that restores relaxation gives researchers a route in. Human trials still have to follow. [SOURCE]

🚥 Two proteins hidden beside the MYC gene explain how an undruggable cancer driver gains its power: Attacking MYC directly has failed for decades because the protein offers no drug binding pocket. Mapping the molecules it depends on shifts the target rather than abandoning it. Firefox and Honeybadger give oncologists fresh entry points and possible biomarkers for tumours with famously poor prognosis. [SOURCE]

🚥 Antibodies already in the blood can predict how strongly someone will respond to a vaccine: Clinicians currently discover a weak vaccine response only after the shot, once protection has already failed. A blood test taken beforehand would flag who needs extra doses or alternative protection. Immune readiness looks like a property of the whole system, not one pathogen at a time. [SOURCE]

🚥 A nineteenth century scientific method is proposed to break the deadlock over COVID-19 origins: Origins arguments have run on volume of data rather than strength of evidence, which lets each side claim victory. Fixing criteria in advance, then testing every competing scenario against them, produces a verdict the public can audit. Method, not authority, is what would settle this. [SOURCE]
